Six commitments
From vision to measurable results
I
An inclusive peace process
A comprehensive peace process led by Afghan citizens and fully including youth, women and minority groups. APD regularly organises forums, round tables and dialogue spaces that place these voices at the heart of peace discussions.

Women’s rights and participation
The protection of women’s rights is at the core of our commitments. Through dialogue platforms, rights-focused training, gender-equality initiatives and leadership opportunities, APD supports the essential role of women in every area of Afghan society.
III
Democratic values and human rights
Freedom of expression, equality and civic rights for every Afghan. Through awareness events, educational workshops and field actions, APD empowers communities to defend their rights and promote democratic values.

A transitional government for lasting stability
An inclusive, representative transitional government to prepare transparent elections and sustainable governance, protect the rights of all citizens, restore trust among communities and enable the safe return of refugees.

Human security and fundamental rights
Advocacy for targeted and effective international aid, so that the rights, safety and dignity of all Afghans are safeguarded, especially in conflict-affected areas, and support for local structures that meet urgent needs.

Engaging the international community
A strategic, active dialogue with international leaders and intergovernmental organisations, so that peace, stability and reconstruction in Afghanistan remain a priority on the world’s peace and security agenda.
